Half of it's you, half is me

Muzzle of Bees from the album A Ghost is Born

There's a random painted highway
And a muzzle of bees
My sleeves have come unstitched
From climbing your tree

And dogs laugh, some say they're barking
I don't think they're mean
Some people get so frightened
Of the fences in between

And the sun gets passed from tree to tree
Silently, and back to me
With the breeze blown through
Pushed up against the sea
Finally back to me

I'm assuming you got my message
On your machine
I'm assuming you love me
And you know what that mean

Sun gets passed, sea to sea
Silently, and back to me
With the breeze blown through
Pushed up above the leaves
With the breeze blown through
My head upon your knee
Half of it's you, half is me
Half of it's you, half is me

Wilco is, probably, one of the best bands playing live nowadays, and the last two records they put out were simply amazing, for sure two of the best albums I’ve ever heard and two albums that I frequently like to hear. I confess that it isn’t very happy music, but for me it makes me think and, unlike happy music, that’s a good thing, that don’t mind that I don’t like happy music, which I do, situations from life just made me listen more to sad songs. Even though it makes you think of sad things (or not) somewhere in the middle you get a warm and comforting feeling, maybe that’s because you realize that there are sad bastards that have their life more fucked up than yours, and because you are simple minded and not very bright, you get happy because off stupid things like that. No, the truth is that these two records are really good, the sounds, and the mix between “old” technologies and “new” technologies brought something that is really great. Jeff Tweedy voice and lyrics are also good, even though he is one sad bastard! :)
Well, I have posted this song for no particular reason, it was just the song I was listen to and made me write this post just after one, let me put this way, not very bright and up-lifting phone call conversation, which relates to one of the good things music brings to me, when I’m “high” on music I’m safe from harm, well maybe not so, but at least, in the short-run, it acts like a pain killer.
