...pelo menos para quem gosta de música, a oferta é tanta que chega a ser ridículo, ele é world music de primeiríssima (masters musicians of jajouka, konono #1 e tinariwen), ele é rock'n'roll do melhor (act-ups, legendary tigerman, heavy trash, sim do jon spencer e do matt verta ray!!!!! becky lee, los explosivos, vallient thorr, etc etc etc, ele é samba com tudo, com a orquestra imperial, ele é música com tudo com a sun ra arkestra, é pá, é uma lista infindável, pois bem, aproveitem o melhor que conseguirem! só eu sei porque não fico em casa!! lol

THE ACT-UPS [live act]
Banda ao vivo por excelência, os ACT-UPS são um dos melhores projectos nacionais de rock’n roll. Com influências que variam entre o psicadelismo do final dos anos 60 ou o punk dos MC5, Stooges e Dirtbombs, a magia desta banda encontra-se na voz poderosa do seu vocalista e na alma com que todos se entregam em cada canção. Guitarras distorcidas a valer mas também em dose suficiente para não perdermos o sentido melódico das suas composições e é nisto, que os Act-Ups têm de bom: nunca nos cansamos de os ouvir.
Editaram em Setembro do ano passado o album Play the Old Psychedelic Sounds of Today pela Groovie Records (também no formato do velhinho vinil de 12”) tendo sido considerado o melhor de sempre e um dos discos portugueses do ano. Regressam aos concertos depois de uma longa paragem e Alcobaça foi o palco escolhido para a sua (re)estreia.

Nick Nicotine é também conhecido por ser um one-man band. Mas no que toca a colocar disquinhos, o ópio é outro e o resultado é uma noite contagiante e bem divertida. El Mariachi também toca guitarra e o rock’n roll corre-lhe nas veias. Não sabe falar espanhol fluentemente, mas quem precisa se a música é linguagem universal!!
Rock’n roll, blues, surf, electro e afins, serão sonoridades a ouvir ao longo da noite e se algo completamente fora do estilo aparecer nos entretantos, pouco ou nada se notará, ou melhor, até irá cair bem…

Tedio Boys were (are?) from Spain, I believe. This was the show with Citizen Fish/Independents/Lizards/Automatics which took place in the desert north of the Las Vegas valley in 1997.

They put on a great live show, stamping their feet in the dirt and such. Another great moment in history I suppose.

É, um grande momento na história, parece que eram assim os concertos deles, um ano depois este vosso escriva assistia a um concerto deles no Hard Club no Porto, um grande momento na minha história, isso sei eu!!
